George Spero – EFC Past player and EFCPP&OA member- passed away 8 December 2022.
George played 5 games in 1960, which showed that he could play, as the team had been Runners-Up in 1959.
He was a very keen and enthusiastic player but unfortunately injuries curtailed his career and he left the club at the end of the 1960 season. George remained a strong Essendon person and never missing an EFCPP&OA event or function.
He was highly respected by all the players he played football with.
