We are saddened to hear of the passing of Reg Burgess.
A superb fast moving, high-marking wingman and centreman from Apsley.
EFC Best and Fairest 1957 & 1960, State side representative in 1957, 1958 & 1960 and All-Australian in 1958. Reg was also ranked at #13 in the Champions of Essendon.
He played in the 1957 & 1959 losing EFC Grand Final teams.
Post Essendon, he captain-coached Casterton to premierships from 1961 to 1963 and played with Apsley in 1964 & 1965.
A great man much loved by his family and many others. A true gentleman.
