John’s contribution to EFC was vast, joining the club in 1965 as U19’s Head Trainer, then progressed to Reserves Head Trainer in 1979-1983 and Seniors Head trainer in 1984-1996.
John then remained employed by the club as the team’s Medical Assistant, attending 3 x weekly training sessions until his retirement in 2018 at the age of 82. He still attended every Melbourne based home game in 2018 taping players ankles.
Killer served the club with distinction and was a much loved and respected figure around the club. An EFC & EFCPP&OA Life Member.
