We are saddened to hear of the passing of Brian Gilmore.
From Koondrook, Brian came to the Essendon Seconds in 1949, playing 11 games between 1950 and 1953 and was a member of the Seconds premiership side in 1950 and 1952.
Post Essendon, Gilmore played 10 games with St. Kilda in 1955 and also played with Richmond Seconds, Kyneton, St. Kilda Seconds, Belgrave and Echuca.
Brian also concentrated on professional athletics winning several major races including the quarter mile at Stawell.
