Worle served in both World Wars. He served as bombardier with the 2nd Field Artillery Brigade in both Gallipoli and France during World War I. He was 53 years old when he enlisted in 1942 and served with the Volunteer Defence Corps 2nd Battalion.

His brother, Tommy, played three games with Collingwood in 1907. He was killed in action in France in 1917 while serving with the 8th Brigade, Australian Field Artillery.

Len Worle died on 10th October, 1948.
