WELSH, John

John Welsh was a handy utility player from Old St Kevin's Collegians. He played nine games from 1961 to 1963.

He then joined Coburg where he played from 1964 to 1969, captaining the side from 1966 to 1968.

Welsh was later captain-coach of Public Works in the Public Service Association in 1972 and 1973 and coach in 1974 and 1975. He then coached East Keilor in 1978 and 1979 and later St Oliver's in the Essendon District League from 1984 to 1986.
