Player Profile

Bob Suter was a nuggety back pocket from Broadford. He was actually 27 years old when he first joined Essendon, but he had put his age back five years to get to the Club.

He played in all but the first game in 1957 and won Essendon's Most Unselfish Player award. He also played in the back pocket in Essendon's losing 1957 Grand Final side.

Suter missed most of the 1958 season through injury then retired after winning the Tattersalls lottery. He played with Kyneton in 1959 and then returned to Broadford in 1961.
