Originally from England, Wilfred Stott first played football with Kerang. He then played with Richmond's VFA team before making his debut with Essendon where he played two games in late 1913.
He was then cleared back to Richmond (VFA) in 1914 and later played eight League games with Richmond in 1919 and 1920.
He enlisted in the 8th Light Horse on 22nd September 1922 and served on Gallipoli before falling ill and being repatriated home in 1916. He returned to active service in Egypt until his discharge early in 1919.
He coached Rutherglen in the Ovens and Murray League in 1925.
Stott died on 10th December, 1973.
