Michael Ross was selected as pick 80 in the 2010 AFL National Draft.
He made his debut in round 19 against Collingwood in 2011 but unfortunately was unable to secure a regular place in the team. He played eight games for Bendigo Gold in 2012 and was delisted by Essendon at the end of the 2012 season.
His brother, Ben, played for North Melbourne and Hawthorn. His grandfather, Max Papley, played for South Melbourne and his cousin, Tom Papley, had played 141 games for Sydney to the end of 2022.
