Artie Rennie was a defender and ruckman from the local Essendon church competition.

He was cleared to Melbourne in June 1930 and was on their list until 1932, but played no senior football. Despite also playing for Prahran in 1931 and 1932, he was a member of Melbourne's Seconds premierships in both years.

Rennie's brother, Les, also played for Essendon.

Artie Rennie died on 10th May, 1998.
