Ralph Raisbeck, known as "Kanga", came to Essendon from Essendon 'A' in the Association.

He played in Rounds 10 and 12 in 1922 then was suspended for the final six matches of the season. His only other game was in Round 6, 1923, in a win over Richmond.

A grocer, he had enlisted on 10th January 1916, almost as soon as he turned 18. He served as a driver with the 8th Field Artillery Brigade in France and was twice wounded in action. He didn't return to Australia until the 17th August 1919.

Ralph Raisbeck died on 5th April, 1958.
