Player Profile

Keith McDonald was a competent forward who came from Essendon District to the Essendon Seconds in 1948.

He had the misfortune to be at Essendon during a time when the Club had a number of top forwards and he managed to play only 13 games, mainly in 1951. He was full-forward in the losing 1951 Grand Final team when John Coleman was suspended. He was also a member of the Seconds premiership team in 1950.

McDonald later played with Coburg from early 1952 to 1954 and he was selected in the VFA Carnival side in 1953. He then joined Portland from 1956 to 1958.

He died on 24th December, 1990.
