Billy Lynch was a half-back and follower who joined Essendon from North Melbourne where he played 36 games from 1927 to 1929.

He played 18 games in 1930 and early 1931 with Essendon. He was a hard trier and was a fine model of an athlete.

After leaving Essendon, Lynch played with Williamstown in 1932 and then with Yarram and North Melbourne Seconds.

He served in the Army in World War II.

He died on 21st March, 1985.
