Brendan Lee was recruited as a mature-age midfielder from East Perth as a rookie in 2012. He couldn't hold a regular place in the team and spent most of the season with Essendon's affiliate, Bendigo Gold, where he won the Nick Carter Medal as the best and fairest player.
He was delisted at the end of the 2012 season and returned to East Perth to play as co-captain in 2013. He had three successful seasons but had to miss 2016 as he was one of the players suspended due to the Supplements saga. He retired after his suspension, having played a total of 124 games for East Perth.
