Bert "Harry" Laxton was a wingman who came from West Melbourne where he played in 1902 and 1903.

He only missed two games in his first season in 1904 and then played every game in 1905.

He then played eight games in 1906 but returned to West Melbourne late that year in time to play in their premiership side. He was back at Essendon for the start of 1907 but played only two more games.

Laxton played with Brighton in 1908 and 1909.

His younger brother, Charlie, played 148 games for Collingwood.

He died on 16th January, 1947.
