Bill Kinnear was a left-footed defender from Brunswick.
His only games for Essendon were in Rounds 12, 13 and 15, for a win over North Melbourne and losses to Carlton and Collingwood.
He was also an excellent cricketer and played one game for Victoria in the 1935/36 season.
Kinnear's brother, Joe, played 47 games for Melbourne (1932-1937). His nephew Col, coached the Sydney Swans from 1989 to 1991.
Bill Kinnear died on 7th December, 1982.
