Player Profile

Danny Jacobs made his senior debut against Fremantle in Round 14 1999. He played nine senior games in 2000 before getting injured near the end of the season. However he cemented himself a permanent postion in the team during 2001 mainly in defence. He played 23 games, and finished equal 4th in the Rising Star Award and had a strong game in the Grand Final.

He started the 2002 season very well in defence, then played some games in the forward line in the second half of the year.

Jacobs had an inconsistent year in 2003. Having to take a key defensive position with the absence of Dustin Fletcher, Jacobs lacked a bit of consistency. With his contract expiring at the end of 2003, Jacobs couldn't reach agreement with the Club over salary and he was eventually traded to Hawthorn in a deal which saw Mark Alvey and Kepler Bradley arrive at Windy Hill.

He retired through persistent injuries prior to the 2008 season.
