Player Profile

Graeme Hatcher was a big ruckman and key position player who came from Hopetoun to the Under 19s in 1973 and was Best Player in Final Series in that competition in 1974.

He made his debut in a win over Melbourne in Round 3 but didn't play in the Seniors again until Round 12. He then played at centre half-forward in the losing 1975 Reserves Qualifying Final.

He played a further three games in 1976.

He joined Clarence in Tasmania in 1977, then returned to the Wimmera to became captain-coach of Woomelang-Lascelles in 1978 and then of Warracknabeal in 1979. He was then captain-coach of his original club, Hopetoun, from 1980 to 1983 and played with that club in 1984.

Hatcher returned to captain-coach Warracknabeal in 1985 before again playing with Hopetoun in 1986 and 1987.
