Mark Hannebery was a left-footed half-back and wingman with plenty of pace who came from Collingwood where he played 61 games from 1979 to 1983. Prior to that he was with North Melbourne CBC Old Boys.
It was hard to break into the strong 1984 side and he only played one game in mid-1984, coming off the interchange bench. He also played two night games in 1984.
Hannebery returned to North Melbourne CBC Old Boys as captain-coach in 1986 and then was a skills coach at Collingwood.
His brother, Matt, played 32 games for Footscray (1986-1990). Matt's son, Dan, played for Sydney and St Kilda.
