GUBBINS, Tommy

Tommy Gubbins was a half-back and centreman from Williamstown CYMS. He played in their 1928 premiership. He played 17 games at Essendon, 16 of which were in his first season.

From Essendon he played with Carwarp (near Mildura) and then Mordialloc before joining Williamstown.

He played three games with Williamstown in 1936, and also played with the Railways in the Wednesday competition. He was with the Railways all his working life.

Tommy Gubbins died on 23rd September, 1976, at the age of 69.
