Bill Gregg was a wingman who came from Brunswick where he played from 1936 to 1941.
He stood out of football in 1942 after he had been refused a clearance to play with Essendon. He was 28 years old when he finally made his debut in Round 8, 1943. This 41 point win over St Kilda was to be his only game for Essendon.
Gregg returned to Brunswick in1944 and played there until 1946.
He died on 23rd January, 2000.
