GOMEZ, Frank

Frank Gomez was a forward and ruckman who came from Port Melbourne Juniors. He lacked a bit of pace but still played 22 games between late 1929 and 1932.

He also played for Port Melbourne Railway United Football Club in the Wednesday League.

After leaving Essendon Gomez returned to Port Melbourne. He later coached the Port Thirds with great success before becoming a committeeman there.

His father, Frank P., played one game for Carlton in 1901.

Despite the coincidence of their names and playing careers, Frank and Chris don't appear to be related.

Frank Gomez died 31st January, 1961.
