Ray Finn was a rover who came from Oakleigh after having served in the RAAF.

He started impressively kicking four goals in his first game and then winning Essendon Best First Year Player award in 1944.

However, he didn't live up to expectations and only played two more games in 1945 before rejoining Oakleigh from 1946 to 1948. He then went to Lake Boga near Swan Hill.

Ray Finn died on 23rd June, 2000.
