Bill Ewing was a big full-forward and centre half-forward who came to Windy Hill from South Bendigo. He made his debut in Round 8, 1933, in a 58 point loss to Geelong at Windy Hill and didn’t see senior action again until Round 14 when he played four consecutive games for a finally tally of five appearances that year.
In his second last game he kicked three of Essendon’s six goals in a 42 point away loss to South Melbourne.
Ewing then returned home to South Bendigo from 1934 to 1936.
He worked as a butcher and retired from his family butcher shop in 1970.
He died on 12th February, 1994.
