Rupert Dodd was a tall follower who came from Keilor.

In his only season, 1927, he was Essendon's equal second top goalscorer with 19 goals. His best return was five goals in a mid-year loss at home to South Melbourne.

After leaving Essendon he joined Preston from 1928 to 1930 and then played three games with Hawthorn in 1931.

Dodd died on 16th January, 1998.
