Player Profile

Allan Davis was an unobtrusive but effective half-forward who he came to Essendon after playing 41 games with Melbourne in 1976 and 1977 and 173 games with St Kilda between 1966 and 1975.

He was a member of St Kilda's only premiership side in 1966 and later their leading goalkicker in both 1971 and 1973. He also represented Victoria in 1972 and 1973. He was a superb deliverer of the ball but was approaching the end of his career when he arrived at Windy Hill.

Davis was cleared to Collingwood in 1980, and played three games with them, his fourth League club, before joining Latrobe in Tasmania in 1981.

He later became assistant coach of St Kilda in 1987.

Allan's son, Chad, played 31 games for St Kilda (2000-2002).
