Player Profile

A tough utility player, Cameron Clayton came from Melbourne where he played 40 games from 1979 to 1982. Prior to that he played at New Norfolk in Tasmania and then 67 games with Richmond from 1974 to 1978. He was in the Tigers' premiership side in 1974.

Clayton played 17 games in 1983 before injuring his knee in early 1984 and this effectively ended his career. He was on the interchange bench in the losing Grand Final team in 1983.

He became captain-coach of Kingsville in 1986.
