Player Profile

Bill Berry was a handy ruckman with long reach and a good mark but found it hard to find a regular senior spot because of Essendon's strength in similar players.

He came from Strathmore and won the Under 19s Best and Fairest and Best First Year Player awards in 1974. He was also the Reserves Best and Fairest in 1977.

In 1978 he went to East Fremantle in Western Australia and later came back to play 43 games with Footscray from 1979 to 1982. He didn't play a senior game in 1983 and moved to North Melbourne in 1984. He played 12 games there in 1984 and 1985.
