Player Profile

Ben Baxter was a fine defender and sometime wingman, who came from Frankston and before that Scotch College.

He was unluckily forced out of the 1902 Grand Final side through injury but he made up for it by playing every game in 1903 and gaining interstate selection.

In 1906 he was cleared to a Collingwood club.

He was also a fine cricketer and played in a Country XI against the English side in 1902.

His son, Ray, played two games for Richmond in 1925.

Baxter died on 6th February, 1934.
