Artie Freeman played 27 games for Collingwood between 1908 and 1910 and just one with Fitzroy in 1911.

He played his only game in Essendon colours in a big win over University at the MCG.

His brother, Jack, played 22 games for South Melbourne in 1913 and 1914. He enlisted in 1915 and was badly wounded in France, but, after having both legs amputated, he died in a military hospital on his 25th birthday in 1916.

Artie Freeman died on 15th September, 1973.
