Player Profile

Hugh Fitzpatrick was a full-forward and centre half-forward. He came from Port Melbourne and made a fine debut, playing in every game in his first season in 1899.

He was also Essendon's equal second top goalkicker that year with 14 goals, only one behind the leader.

Unfortunately, his career with Essendon was short-lived. In 1901, he went to Western Australia in his employment and played for Subiaco for five years before returning home in 1906. He represented Western Australia while he was there.

Hugh Fitzpatrick died 1st January, 1925.
