Bill Eastmure was a follower and defender who came from Port Melbourne where he played from 1935 to 1938.
Prior to that, he had played with Port Melbourne CYMS and then with the South Melbourne Seconds in 1934.
Eastmuir played one game in late 1939. His stay with Essendon was short-lived because of his work commitments. He then stood out of football for three years before joining South Melbourne. He played four games there in 1943.
He later played a season with Pier Hotel, Port Melbourne, in the Sunday competition.
He retired in 1979 after twenty years with the Country Roads Board.
Eastmure died on 28th November, 1998.
