AMOS,RobertRobert Amos came to Essendon as a pacy wingman from Imperials in Horsham and started with the Under 19s in 1972. He had a good football brain and knew how to deliver the ball.

Amos was a good mark for his height but suffered a bad knee injury in 1976 that saw him miss the 1977 season. He came back to play only three more games as a reserve in 1978 and 1979.

He then joined Footscray in 1980 but again suffered a knee injury and only played one night game and then with their Reserves in early 1981. In 1982 he returned to play with Horsham before moving to Queensland where he became assistant coach of Windsor-Zillmere in 1983. He then coached the Queensland schoolboys team in 1984 and 1985 and became fitness coach for the Brisbane Bears in 1987.
