Tommy Wade was a centreman from the Hawthorn Juniors.
He made his debut in mid-1914 and played six games in his first season. He played 11 games in 1915 appearing in two of the Club's three wins that season.
Wade's career at Essendon was interrupted by World War I and he served overseas, but he returned to play six games in 1919 and kick three of his career four goals.
He remained a Club patron for many years.
Tommy Wade died on 27th November, 1939.
