Kieran Sporn was drafted from West Adelaide at number 22 at the 1986 National Draft.
He was quick and lightly-built and played mainly as a wingman, but he could play in either defence or attack. He played consistently from 1989 and had an excellent season in 1992, but could only manage five games in 1993 and was delisted at the end of that year.
Sporn was involved in the infamous 1990 Grand Final brawl and was later suspended for two matches.
He went to Fitzroy where he played 12 games in 1994 before returning to West Adelaide. He retired as a player in 1996 and then became assistant coach at West Adelaide.
His sister, Rachel Sporn, was a member of the Opals (the Australian women's basketball team) for many years.
