Bill Scott was a tramway employee from Bairnsdale who played primarily as a centre half-back.
He was something of a football nomad: he played three games for Fitzroy in 1912 before transferring to Fitzroy Juniors in 1913. He tried out unsuccessfully with St Kilda in 1914 then joined VFA club Williamstown mid-season.
He joined Essendon in 1915 and played four games in Rounds 11 to 14, all losses.
Bill Scott died on 17th March, 1968.
