Les Rennie was a wingman who came from Woodlands (an EDFL club) where he played in 1929 and 1930. He was the first of many Essendon players who began their careers in the EDFL. Dick Reynolds followed him from Woodlands in 1933.
He played 13 games in 1931. He then played with Footscray Seconds and Melbourne Seconds (where he won a premiership). He also played District cricket for Essendon.
His brother, Artie, also played for Essendon.
He was a tool maker for Sutton Tools.
Les Rennie died on 25th September, 1983.
