Ken Reed was a follower from the Carlton Thirds. His only games for Essendon were Rounds 3 and 13, 1955, in wins over North Melbourne and St Kilda.
He had won the Seconds Best and Fairest award in 1953 and was a member of the Seconds premiership team in 1952.
Reed was cleared to Williamstown in 1956 and played in their premiership teams in 1956 and 1958. He finished his career with Hastings.
