RAMSAY, John

John Ramsay was a follower from the North Essendon Methodists. He played two games for Essendon in Rounds 9 and 10 in 1952 for two losses against Melbourne and Fitzroy. He was a member of the Seconds premiership side in both 1950 and 1952.

He then joined Williamstown in 1954 and played in their premiership teams in 1955, 1956, 1958 and 1959 during an outstanding career with that club.

John Ramsay died after an illness on 13th November, 1983, aged only 53.
