Vic Papp was a wingman and rover who came from Riverside Stars to the Seconds in 1967. His only game was an away win over Footscray in Round 20, 1968. He was on the bench in the Reserves team which won its first premiership for 16 years that season and was named Reserves Best Club Man.

After leaving Essendon, he returned to Riverside Stars in 1971. He then became captain-coach of Gladstone Park in 1972 and played there in 1973 and 1974. He won the 1978 J. Coleman Medal as the best and fairest in the EDFL C Grade.

He later played with Essendon High School Old Boys.
