Jim Moore came to Essendon from Melbourne where he played one game in 1911.
His only game for Essendon was in Round 2, 1913, in a win over Richmond.
He enlisted in the AIF in 1915 and served in the 38th Battalion, rising to the rank of captain. While serving in France, he suffered severe gunshot wounds to his chest and legs and, after spending several months in hospital in England, was repatriated to Australia in 1917.
Jim Moore died on 25th January, 1987.
