Arch McDonald's only game for Essendon was in Round 17, 1905, in a loss to Fitzroy.
His brother, Edwin's single appearance for Essendon was in the same game. His other brother, Fenley, played 11 games for Carlton and Melbourne. Fen was killed in the landings at Gallipoli on 25th April, 1915.
Arch McDonald died on 20th July, 1932.
