Norm McDermott was a wingman from East Brunswick and Fitzroy Seconds.
He played 20 games between 1937 and 1939.
McDermott then joined Brunswick in 1940 where he played seven games.
A timber worker, he enlisted in the Army in March 1941 but was discharged only a few months later as "medically unfit". He was suffering from a stomach ulcer and kidney stones.
Norm McDermott died on 4th September, 1987.
