Arthur Legge was a lightly-built rover and forward who came from North Melbourne (VFA) where he played in 1900 and 1901 and then Williamstown where he played in 1902 and 1903.

He played in the forward pocket in the losing 1908 Grand Final team. His last game was in a loss to University. It was only the second time Essendon had lost to that team.

Legge was Essendon's third leading goalkicker in 1907.

He died on 5th January, 1941.
