COLE, Richard

Richard Cole was traded to Essendon from Collingwood with pick 1993 in 2006. He was looking for a new challenge after having had a good 2004 season with Collingwood, but not being able to find similar form in 2005. At his best, he was a dashing defender who was hard at the ball.

He was sixth in Collingwood's Best and Fairest in 2004 and so Essendon knew he had talent. However, 2006 was to be a frustrating year for him and he was restricted to just four games due to knee problems.

Cole was delisted at the end of season 2007.
