Player Profile

Billy Harrison was a follower and defender who came from West Melbourne and had been a member of their premiership side in 1906. He was a fairly regular team member in 1909 and 1910 and kicked four goals in a narrow loss to Geelong in 1910.

He was nicknamed "Brigham" after Brigham Young, founder of the Morman Church, because he had so many followers.

He played 23 games for Essendon between 1909 and 1910 and only one game in 1911 before being cleared to Northcote.

Harrison died on 29th April, 1949. [Information from a family member to the Club said he died on 2nd May, 1947, but this has not been independently confirmed.]
