Will Hams was drafted at pick 6, the Club's only selection, in the 2013 Pre-season Draft.
He was recruited from Gippsland Power and made his senior debut in Round 10, 2013, against the Sydney Swans at the SCG.
He was a tough, in-and-under midfielder who was fearless at the contest. Due to some persistent injuries, he found it hard to obtain the consistency necessary to play senior football.
Hams missed all of 2014 through a hip injury and then the second half of 2015 with a knee injury.
He was delisted at the end of 2015 but was re-drafted by the Bombers with pick 39 and found more opportunities in his final season because of the suspension of 12 Essendon players due to the so-called supplements saga.
Hams was finally delisted at the end of 2016 and then joined the VFL club, Box Hill Hawks.
