Charlie "Chook" Zinnick was a talented follower and defender who came from Yarraville Juniors and played 13 games in 1921. He was selected in the League side that played Bendigo in that year.
After leaving Essendon, he played with Footscray (VFA) between 1922 and 1924 and was a member of their VFA premiership sides in both those years. Former Essendon team-mate, Col Laidlaw, was also in the 1924 premiership team.
He played one further game with Footscray after the Bulldogs joined the Victorian Football League in 1925.
Zinnick died on 5th August, 1967.
